Cookies Founder Berner announces his partnership with Richard Delisi, a man convicted of a nonviolent cannabis charges. Berner releases a statement on his instagram account.
“Imagine doing 32 years after given 98 years for a non violent cannabis crime and coming home to see so many people profiting off of what you just gave a majority of your life for , how would you feel ??? I’ve known @rickdamsko for over 10 years and when I met him all he talked about was trying to find a way to get his father @freedelisi home . It finally happened, this mans energy and Over all vibe is priceless, he’s one of us .
I spent a few days with him and smoked a bunch of new flavors, he selected one he really liked which was my favorite, and we are going to put him in the game, help him leave a legacy and business behind for his kids and grandkids, while having him comfortable and enjoying his freedom.
Thank you @seedjunky_jbeezy for dedicating that flavor to him. It feels great to be in position to help this man get what he deserves, to embrace and help tell his story… we all owe this man some respect and love, he was the longest serving cannabis inmate ever… welcome home Uncle Richie, we got your back and will get this poppin ASAP!
Thank you for all the good stories and laughs, I can’t wait to help you build your brand and share your journey. Congratulations @rickdamsko, he’s home! And shout out @lastprisonerproject for working so hard to free this man and many others.
